Campaign against Genocide

This site has plenty of information regarding genocide and the quest for justice against the perpetrators. Initially, there were not many campaigns but now under the "Take Action" section, you can join in campaigns. You may also recognise some of the patrons of this organisations.

Conflict Diamonds

The site below has some very interesting information about violations being committed in the name of profit. Although there seems to be no real direct actions to take part in, the information will allow you to make more informed decisions and maybe contact those who are carrying out these activities.

Sex Trafficking Revisited

The site below seems to have started after the founder witnessed sex trafficking and subsequently decided to raise awareness about the issue. The site does not really have individual actions other than general activities but if you search through the "Nepal and Albania Watch " and see the links section, you will develop quite a good picture of what is happening and maybe can take action yourself. The links that are from the United States seem to be more for local groups and may only be relevant to those areas. Therefore, I suggest only looking at the more recognized or international organizations.

Alternative Journalism

As with the last post, I am not totally sure of the political origins, funding or biases of this news site which claims to be an independent source of information. Although the "About" section tries to clarify this, please contact me if there are any doubts about anything. There are some interesting articles and plenty of opportunities to take action, although you may want to do some extra research.

Iranian Human Rights

I believe that this site could be Iranian based but there is no real information about who is writing it so maybe there should be some caution. This site was set up by those who felt women were being mistreated by laws and customs said to have derived from Islam. Is there Global Warming?

The debate on whether Global Warming exists is one that will continue for many years to come. Although recent events in Japan are not linked to Global Warming, it shows what could be the affects of nature being affected drastically. I believe that the world is not taking care of the planet and that there will be some consequences to a certain degree but how much I am not sure.

I have always maintained that I do not wish to be political and that is why I hesitate to put this site on since it supports World Union views.
